Our Focus
-
Volunteer Days & Education Opportunities
Stay in the loopMangaroa Farms regularly hosts volunteer days and workshops to share the broad knowledge base of our team. Through workshops & events, we aim to increase local knowledge & connection to food systems, whilst planting native trees on mass, and promoting the application of regenerative agriculture.
-
Cultivating a Resilient Community Food Hub
View CollectionThrough building healthy soil & microbial systems, our market garden team produces a weekly array of fresh & delicious produce, grown with organic principles, available weekly in our Farm Shop / Kete Kai to order online or pickup at our Honesty fridge, in our efforts to increase localised food production.
-
Forest & River Conservation
The Mangaroa river is the lifeblood of our regeneration project, providing life to the forests, bird/aquatic life, and the surrounding farm area. Our farm backs on to 500+ acres of native old growth forest, neighboured by 700+ acres of pine which will be regenerated as a native forest over the next 2-5 years.
-
Regenerative Grazing & Increasing Soil Diversity
View our Meat RangeWorking alongside nature and partnering with livestock, our team of pasture raised cows and sheep provide rich fertilizer for increasing the health & diversity of our largest underground livestock - the soil mycelium network. Raising our cattle happily in a stress-free environment means we are able to generate high-quality, nutrient dense kai for our local community.
Our Community
Cultivating an eco-cultural landscape with a wide range of projects, people, and skills keeps our approach diverse, and our feet grounded in the soil. Here's our community of people who are contributing to our mission.
