We’ll walk through what being “home-ready” really means, covering the basics like water, food, power, warmth, and staying connected. We’ll talk about how much water you realistically need, easy ways to store it, and small setups you can do now that make a big difference later. We’ll also look at lighting, cooking, and managing day-to-day needs when the power’s out.

There’s a hands-on, creative side too. Expect some clever DIY thinking — like how a humble toilet plunger can become a washing machine — plus other affordable hacks using things you probably already have at home. No pressure, no perfection, just practical kōrero.
