Considered a 'microgreen', pea shoots or pea tendrils are the young, tender leaves and vine tips of green garden peas!  The cool thing is we can grow these microgreens outside in the field all year round!  Similar flavour to the pea, the shoots are more sweet, crisp & light in texture which means they're perfect to eat fresh to include in salads or sandwiches.  Can also lightly steam or saute.

They’re an excellent source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C, and a good source of manganese, vitamin E and folate.
